NFL Draft Season: Consistent Rookies Pt. 3

NFL Fantasy Football is gearing up for the NFL Draft. The NFL Draft begins in 15 days. In part 3, things go a little less consensus than the first highlighted players we’ve already covered.
A little over 2 weeks, and I couldn’t be more excited about the 2026 NFL Draft. In the first 2 parts of this series, I’ve gone over some of the top guys, and although the order might have been different, it was in line with most analysis out there. Today, I’ll dig a little deeper for some other guys who don’t quite fall in line as much.

Fantasy Football NFL Draft Rookies (with consistency) – 4/8/2026
WR Omar Cooper Jr., Indiana (College) Age: 22 NFL Fantasy Football, NFL Draft 2026.
So far, I’ve already listed 3 WRs: Makai Lemon, Carnell Tate, and Jordyn Tyson. Those are my top 3 easily, but it gets a bit cloudy after those guys for me. And apparently, it’s not just me, as many analysts are all over the place with the next tier of WRs. My WR4 is Omar Cooper Jr. out of Indiana.
Some will prefer his teammate, Elijah Sarratt, or another WR here, but I can’t get past Cooper’s broken-tackle and YAC ability. That broken-tackle rate was over 30% (elite for a WR) along with his combine 40-yard dash that came in at 4.47, and we get a WR who could make a name for himself early.

(2026 Rankings – Redraft: WR61, Dynasty: WR54)
Cooper was a 2nd-Team All-Big Ten Conference player last season for an undefeated, National Champion, Indiana Hoosiers team. He led that team with 69 receptions and 937 receiving yards. While also being tied for 3rd in touchdown receptions in all of FBS with 13. With his broken tackles and YAC ability, it’s easy to make the comparison to Deebo Samuel, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see Kyle Shanahan make a move for Cooper if possible.
I believe that Cooper will be a 1st-round draft pick. The biggest question is, where will he end up? As I said above, the 49ers at pick 27 would be intriguing, but if they really want him, they may need to move up. Cooper has been creeping up boards, and with several teams looking at WRs, Cooper looks to be a hot commodity.
WR K.C. Concepcion, Texas A&M (College) Age: 21
I went back and forth several times on Cooper Jr. and this guy, K.C. Concepcion. Concepcion profiles as a “problem” for opposing defenses. He dominated at Texas A&M last season to the tune of 1st-Team Associated Press All-American, 1st-Team SEC, and the Paul Hornung Award for the most versatile player.
61 receptions, 919 receiving yards, and 9 receiving touchdowns paced the Aggies last year. Concepcion was an absolute stud playmaker for the team as he also contributed 75 yards rushing, a rushing touchdown, 456 punt return yards, and 2 punt return touchdowns. Wherever he lands, he’ll be considered a versatile playmaker from day one.

That mentioned versatility is highlighted by Concepcion’s ability to attack and succeed with quick acceleration. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you watch his Gauntlet Drill at the combine; it was buttery smooth.
Concepcion has been mocked from the 10th pick through the 20s. I’ve been liking the whole, he’s got a Rams’ feel to him, so maybe that’s a good fit. However, watching his tape, it’s hard not to see him fitting into any offense.
RB Nicholas Singleton, Penn State (College) Age: 22
So, here’s one of “my guys” picks. The RB2 for this rookie draft class is all over the place, very similar to the WR tier I wrote about earlier. I think the most-picked guy has been Jadarian Price, but my guy is Nicholas Singleton. He played at Penn State and put together a strong collegiate career, setting school records with over 5,500 all-purpose yards and 55 touchdowns.
Singleton averaged 5.6 yards per carry over his 4 years at Penn State and also hauled in 102 receptions. His athleticism score, a 98, was 1st in this class amongst RBs. Combine that with his usage, and it screams potential 3-down RB at the next level.

(2026 Rankings – Redraft: RB66, Dynasty: RB52)
Singleton’s size, speed, and football IQ have me excited to see what he can do at the next level. In college, he was a little muted as he shared the backfield with Kaytron Allen, who’s projected to be drafted as well. Allen handled more of the bruising or thunder roll, but he undoubtedly cut into Singleton’s numbers.
I would love to see Singleton end up somewhere with a real shot to get consistent touches early on. A couple of potential matches for Singleton would be the Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, or Tennessee Titans. Keep in mind, he broke his foot during a Senior Bowl practice, which caused him to miss the combine. I’m buying the “injury discount” here for sure.
