NFL Fantasy Football Week 9 is upon us. In the “Under the Radar with Consistency” series this week, I’ve got some Clutch players who can help your playoff chances.
We’re past the bye-mageddon, and now it’s on to the playoff chase! Let’s dig in and find some players who aren’t being utilized to fill in for your teams. For NFL Fantasy Football Week 9, the “Under the Radar” series focuses on some players who can help your team down the stretch.
For those who are new or need a refresher, here are a few key terms and definitions to help you during the season when reading.
- Clutch Factor (CF) – the average points a player needs to meet or exceed a Clutch Game based on scoring settings and league size. Think QB1, RB2, WR2, and TE1 thresholds.
- Clutch Games (CG) – weekly per-game award for a player who hits the CF factor. The more of these, the more consistent the player is.
- Clutch Rate (CR) – total of CG earned divided by total games; top fantasy players are usually > 70%.
- Football Consistency Report Tool (Scoring can be edited/Standard listed below)
- Based on 12-team leagues
- 4 points per passing touchdown
- 6 points for all other touchdowns
- 1 point per reception (PPR)
- 1 point per 20 passing yards
- 1 point per 10 rushing yards or 10 receiving yards

Fantasy Football Under the Radar (with consistency) – 10/29/2025
QB Aaron Rodgers, PIT, NFL Fantasy Football Week 9.
The Pittsburgh Steelers went all-in this offseason, and part of that was bringing in Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, despite being 41, has performed admirably for the team. Additionally, he’s thrown for 2+ touchdowns in five out of the seven games he’s played this year.
For the season, Rodgers has a 50% CR; however, he’s on a heater right now with 3 straight Clutch Games. Over those three games, Rodgers is averaging 19.63 points per game; for the season, that would have him as QB10.

Rodgers is the kind of quarterback who could help your team navigate the bye weeks or even replace an underwhelming option. Being a top 10 fantasy quarterback means he shouldn’t just be rostered; he should be starting in most leagues.
Teams that have been relying on Jalen Hurts or Baker Mayfield would be wise to grab Rodgers for this week. Teams that have been starting Justin Fields or streaming a QB may want to consider taking a chance on Rodgers as well.
RB Woody Marks, HOU,
This guy is becoming a regular in the “Under the Radar” series, as I still can’t believe he’s only on 69% of teams. Woody Marks has been trending upwards, as his 14.48 points per game over his last four games highlight.
His CR is currently at 43% but Marks has earned a clutch game in three of his last four played games. Since the week 6 bye, he’s had at least 12.5 points scored in each game.

Nick Chubb was a concern early on, and there was some possibility that Joe Mixon would be back. At this point, Marks has had 10+ carries in three of the last four games. The Texans have won three of those four games, too.
Being available in 31% of leagues and being his team’s RB1 is wild to me. I already rostered Marks in every league I’m in that I could. My suggestion is that you should too. He’s an RB3 at minimum, with RB1 upside.
WR Kayshon Boutte, NE,
Right now, fantasy managers are searching for players who are consistent and capable of putting up big numbers. Insert Kayshon Boutte, who’s ascended into a legit deep threat for the New England Patriots.
Boutte has 3 straight Clutch Games, and during that stretch, he’s averaging 18.77 points per game. For the year, that mark would have him ranked as the WR6. Over the past three weeks, he’s accumulated 10 receptions, 223 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns.

Earlier in the season, the Patriots were searching for options at wide receiver. They acquired Stefon Diggs to be the WR1, but it was wide open behind him. Boutte has come on strong lately and is blossoming in tandem with starting quarterback Drake Maye.
Being on less than 50% of rosters is a crime for Boutte. Maye is being discussed in MVP conversations, and if fantasy managers believe that’s not a fluke, then they need to trust that Boutte will continue performing. He’s a WR3 with WR1 upside and needs to be stashed before it’s too late.
WR Troy Franklin, DEN, NFL Fantasy Football Week 9.
Almost all of the positives for Boutte are positives for Troy Franklin. He’s tied to a 2nd year quarterback who’s putting up high-end numbers and is coming off back-to-back Clutch Games.
38% CR doesn’t look great, but a deeper dive into Franklin’s numbers shows he has been consistently targeted all year. He’s had 4+ targets in every game this year and has had at least 3 receptions in all but one game.

He’s averaging 9 targets and 19.9 points over his last two games. Additionally, Franklin was a college teammate of Bo Nix, and that chemistry is starting to show up.
In the wide receiver room for Denver, it’s Courtland Sutton and a bunch of guys fighting for the WR2 spot. The chemistry with Nix, along with the number of targets he’s seen this season, provides us with a clear picture for Franklin. He’s a strong WR3 with potential WR1 scoring weeks. Fantasy managers who started him last week were rewarded handsomely.
TE Harold Fannin Jr., CLE, NFL Fantasy Football Week 9.
In the preseason, I was in on several rookies coming into this season; Harold Fannin Jr. was one of them. He’s blossomed into the best pass catcher in Cleveland and has had 3 Clutch Games over his last four played.
Fannin has had 4+ targets in every game this year, including those where he shared TE snaps with David Njoku. Even with Njoku in the lineup, Fannin is used in a variety of ways, including being lined up out wide or even in the backfield. That utilization has kept him on the field, where he has a 74% or higher snap percentage every game since Week 3.

Without a top receiving option stepping up, it’s clear that Fannin has taken over as the apple of Dillon Gabriel‘s eye. Not only is he averaging 7.67 targets over the last three weeks, but he’s also averaging 59.67 receiving yards per game during that stretch.
Fannin’s points per game already have him as a TE1, so it’s amazing that he’s not even rostered in 50% of leagues. Too many fantasy managers are relying on Tight Ends that are household names rather than actual scoring. Names like Dalton Schultz, T.J. Hockenson, and Mark Andrews are all examples of guys who have been underachieving but are still being started weekly.
