NFL Week 8 Prop Picks – 10/31/25 – Prop It Like It’s Hot!
Week 9 NFL Prop Picks
DK Metcalf OVER 58.5 Receiving Yards
Over the team’s last four games, Metcalf is averaging 4.25 receptions, 6.8 targets, and 81.5 yards per game. In Week 9, the Steelers will take on the Colts, with Vegas setting the total at 50.5 points. The Colts are essentially scoring at will, and the Steelers are going to need to keep up. Pittsburgh has played in three games this year where the total exceeded 50 points, and Metcalf has posted 83, 50, and 55 yards in those three contests. During the aforementioned stretch, he has a healthy 14.9 aDOT, 22.1% target share, and 19.18 yards per reception, per FantasyPoints, and he should see a bunch of rookie Johnathan Edwards, who has allowed over 17 yards per reception this season, per Pro Football Focus.
C.J. Stroud OVER 15.5 Rushing Yards
Stroud is averaging 25.3 rushing yards per game this season, and lackluster offensive line play at times forces Stroud out of the pocket, and he’s been willing to take the yards with his legs. Based on some looks Denver gives, Stroud’s legs could be a very important part of this matchup. Denver plays the most man coverage in the NFL, and Stroud has the fifth-most yards on scrambles against man coverage, not to mention 12 yards per scramble, per FantasyPoints. Furthermore, the Broncos also play single-high safety at the ninth-highest clip, and Stroud has the fifth-most yards on scrambles against these looks. Denver can pressure QBs at will, and Stroud could be running for his life at times.

Kenneth Walker OVER 52.5 Rushing Yards
Walker is averaging 61.4 rushing yards per game this season, and while Zach Charbonnet is stealing goal-line work, if Walker can get 15 carries on Sunday, he’ll blow past this line. Of running backs with at least 50 carries on the season, Walker ranks 4th in explosive run rate and 5th in missed tackles forced per attempt, per FantasyPoints. Walker is solid on zone concept runs, and the Commanders have allowed 4.26 yards per carry against zone runs, per FantasyPoints. To take it a step further, on runs to the C gaps (outside the tackles), the Commanders have allowed 5.03 yards per carry, and Walker has 5.04 yards per carry.
Kyle Monangai OVER 71.5 Rushing Yards (-112)
I realize that picking a backup running back to have a great game is surprising. However, when the said running back faces the Cincinnati Bengals, no one is shocked. The Bengals are DEAD LAST in giving up the most rushing yards per game at 132 yards per game. Monangai doesn’t really have any competition with D’Andre Swift out this week. Therefore, I feel very comfortable taking the over here.
Michael Penix – UNDER 227.5 Passing Yards (-110)
While Penix has exceeded this prop four out of six games, three of those four games were at home. He has only one game over 227.5 on the road versus an average San Francisco defense. This week, he is traveling to New England. Since Week 2, the Patriots have given up an AVERAGE of 206.3 passing yards per game. That’s with Josh Allen throwing for 253 yards in Week 5 when the Patriots beat the Bills. Penix should struggle against the defense this week.
Kimani Vidal – OVER 76.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
If one can pick a running back to exceed his props against the Bengals, then choosing the running back going against the 31st team (Titans) is just as easy. This is especially easy when the running back has rushed for 124 and 117 yards, respectively, in two of the last three games. Haskins is out again this week. This leaves Vidal the Chargers all to himself again this week. The Titans are giving up an average of 119 rushing yards per week. The 76.5 prop looks pretty attainable.
