Fantasy Football Picks ADP 100+: WRs are Bringing the Value!

For fantasy football drafts, there are numerous different strategies. I like drafting elite Running Backs early. But are there quality Wide Receivers available late?

I’ve made many fantasy football picks in numerous mock drafts and now several redraft leagues already this season. My favorite drafted teams have focused on elite running backs early and then targeting value wide receivers later in the draft.

My results have shown that I can get 2-3 elite running backs (RB2 or better) early, then turn my attention to the other positions. In round 4, depending on who’s available, I find myself taking either a falling elite quarterback or tight end, or targeting a team’s WR1.

My key focus for this article is to highlight my favorite wide receivers who are drafted after Average Draft Position (ADP) 100. These are wide receivers who are WR1 or WR2 for their teams, and I believe are much better fantasy football picks than the running backs available at the same cost. Fantasy Football ADP 100+ Recommendations – 8/19/2025 Fantasy Football: Consistency

ADP Range: 101-120, 9th-10th Round

Chris Olave NO – ADP 101.8, WR39

Olave is my favorite WR pick after pick 100 right now at ADP. He’s slowly been moving up, but I think he’s at least 30 picks too low.

He was WR55 in points per game (limited to 8 games due to injury) last season; however, he was WR20 in 2023 and WR27 in 2022 in the same metric. Olave also had a 50% Clutch Rate (CR) last season, but again, his 2023 (75%) and 2022 (60%) seasons were much better. His bounce-back should be one of your late fantasy football picks!

Deebo Samuel WAS: ADP 108.6, WR41

The Washington Commanders are currently in a contract standoff with WR1 Terry McLaurin. Insert Samuel, who’s looking to rebound in his new home and could be the fill-in top WR. Like Olave, Samuel was injured and endured a rough 2024.

A quick look back at the 2 years prior shows us that Samuel has big bounce-back potential. He was WR13 (67% CR) in 2023 and the WR28 (48% CR) for points per game in 2022. The Commanders have shown they have plays designed to utilize Samuel, which will allow him to finish closer to a WR2 than his current WR4 ADP.

Ricky Pearsall SF: ADP 118.0, WR43

Pearsall was the 49ers’ first-round pick in 2024. He got shot before the season, missed time, and still managed to average 18.43 points per game over the final three games.

The team has moved on from Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings is holding out, and Brandon Aiyuk is expected out until week 6, yet Pearsall is still in the 10th round of fantasy football picks. In games where Pearsall got 6+ targets, he averaged 21.63 points per game. The 49ers’ new WR1 is a huge buy at cost!

ADP Range: 121-132, 11th

Emeka Egbuka TB: ADP 126.0, WR48

The Buccaneers may have the best WR room in the NFL. I love Mike Evans, the WR1 there, but my new favorite fantasy football pick for the Buccaneers is Egbuka. He was the 19th overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, and he’s set to take over as the team’s top wideout.

Jalen McMillan is expected to miss half the season due to a neck injury, and Chris Godwin is likely to start on the PUP list; both benefit Egbuka. He averaged 5 receptions and 62.3 yards per game in a crowded Ohio State WR room last season (with wunderkid Jeremiah Smith), and is a lock for borderline WR2/WR3 numbers this season as his floor.

Jayden Reed GB: ADP 131.9, WR50

The Green Bay Packers have an undistinguished WR room, as none of them had more than 76 targets last season. Christian Watson is expected to miss extended time, and Romeo Doubs isn’t a big threat. Reed’s biggest competition this season is Matthew Golden, the Packers’ 23rd overall pick.

Reed was 2nd on the team with 75 targets, but 1st in receptions with 55. In 2023, Reed finished as WR26 in points per game (he was WR42 last year). In the past two seasons combined, Reed has had a 57.6% CR, which shows he’s capable of producing WR3 numbers. Reed is closer to a WR3 than a WR5, as indicated by his ADP.

ADP Range: 133+, 12th Round

Rashid Shaheed NO:ADP 137.9, WR51

Shaheed is the WR2 in the WR room in New Orleans. He also had a 67% CR last season in addition to being WR31 in points per game despite bad QB play.

Darnell Mooney ATL: ADP 139.0, WR52

The Falcons have Mooney listed as their WR2, and he was WR38 in points per game last season. Averaged 14.02 points per game when he received 5+ targets in 2024. Averaged 5.5 targets per game with Michael Penix Jr., the Falcons QB1 this year.

Josh Downs IND: ADP 140.5, WR53

Downs’ career 17-game average is 77 receptions, 863 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns. That would’ve made him WR33 last season, just ahead of Xavier Worthy. He gets a passing upgrade at QB this year as the Colts just announced Daniel Jones as their starter for the 2025 season.

Jayden Higgins HOU: ADP 140.8, WR54

I like the Houston Texans’ passing offense for this season. Nico Collins is a locked-in WR1, and Higgins looks to be his WR2. Averaging 6.70 receptions and 91 receiving yards per game last season at Iowa State is a good indicator of what he can do.

Grabbing a few of the above-mentioned wide receivers with your later-round fantasy football picks can provide your team with a huge advantage. Getting these guys so late in drafts allows you to focus on elite running back production early and maybe even an elite QB and/or TE.
