Najee Harris is an Undervalued Consistent RB2 at Flex Prices

Bob Lung shares his consistency profile of Najee Harris and why he is greatly undervalued in 2025 NFL Fantasy Football drafts.
I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Najee Harris. Every year, he’s undervalued as a running back. He’s not going to have any amazing weeks during the season. However, he will be consistent enough to be a solid RB2/Flex fantasy contributor. I like Harris for several reasons, and the profile below breaks it down for you.

There are a couple of important nuggets to notice in the Three-Year History report above. The first nugget is Harris’s consistency since 2022. After Harris had a great 2022, the Steelers grabbed Jaylen Warren, and he has had to battle a timeshare for the past two seasons. However, even with the timeshare, Harris has maintained a consistency rating over 50% and last year it was close to 60%. With 60% being the threshold for a starting role on a fantasy team, it’s easy to agree that Harris is an excellent value as your flex player.
The second nugget is his endurance. Haris has not missed a game in the past three seasons. He is on a one-year deal with the Chargers, so Harris is playing for his future. Harris is only 27 years old, and while the Chargers did draft a running back in the NFL draft. If you think Jim Harbaugh will rush a rookie in the starting lineup, then you don’t know Jim Harbaugh.

Najee Harris did possibly help you into the playoffs. His 82% consistency from Weeks 3-14 was impressive. He was also 17th in total points during that period. During that time period, Harris averaged 16.9 rushing attempts per game. Not many fantasy owners realize that Harris is an excellent receiver out of the backfield as well. He averaged 2.50 catches per game and 21.3 yards per game. In total, he averaged almost five points per week in receiving. With the rookie unproven, you have to believe that Harbaugh will leave Harris in on third downs. Whether it’s due to pass protection or screen passes, Harris has the capabilities.

One important note in the chart above is Harris and his consistency between Home vs Away. They are almost exact. So, he’s not the player who would sit when he’s on the road. His consistency is solid in both game scenarios. He does have one flawed game scenario (Away vs a Top 10 defense). While most fantasy players struggle there as well, it’s certainly worth watching. Last year, in Weeks 15-17, Harris went against three straight Top 10 defenses. Two of them were on the road.
Summary
Najee Harris has the consistency to be an excellent value as your flex. However, I truly believe that Najee Harris can be an undervalued solid RB2 this year. Harris’ current ADP is RB32 / Round 8. Remember, he’s playing for a future contract. He has every incentive to kick ass and have some team “show him the money”!
