NFL Week 16 Game of Fantasy Points: 49ers at Colts!

Are you ready for some football? It’s Monday Night Football for NFL Week 16! The San Francisco 49ers travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts.

NFL Week 16 was a little underwhelming this week, as we didn’t have as many Clutch Games as we have in recent weeks. As for the Monday Night game, the 49ers are -4.5 favorites versus the Colts. The O/U is 45.5. For fantasy scoring, our current King of the Week is Puka Nacua, who scored 46.5 points on Thursday night. Marking the second week in a row, our leading scorer has come from the Thursday night game. Nacua is the only player so far this week to score 40+ points.

Notes from the Highest Projected Games

The highest scoring QB this week was Trevor Lawrence, at 31.2 points. However, the King of Fantasy Points for this week is Puka Nacua, who scored 46.5 points Thursday night. Both of those games were featured in our highest projected Clutch Games rankings this week. This week, there were 5 QBs, 5 RBs, 4 WRs, and 0 TEs who scored 25+ fantasy points. The four projected highest games were the only games that had more than 5 Clutch Players!

Featured the QB1 (Lawrence), QB2 (Stafford), QB4 (Burrow), RB1 (Brown), WR1 (Nacua), WR3 (Washington), and WR5 (Smith-Njigba)

The biggest shocker in a low Clutch Game week may be that Trey McBride missed a Clutch Game. Some unexpected fantasy performances from this week were Trevor Lawrence as QB1 (again), Parker Washington as WR3, and Elijah Higgins as TE5 over his teammate McBride. In a corresponding outcome, Jacoby Brissett failed to hit a Clutch Game. It was his first time doing so in a game in which he started.

NFL Week 16 Monday Night Football, 49ers (-4.5) at Colts

Tonight’s game features the 49ers versus the Colts in Indianapolis. The Colts are holding on for dear life with Philip Rivers coming back to start at QB. At 8-6, they need a win at home tonight. They’ve lost four straight, whereas the 49ers are 10-6 and have won four games in a row. The best Clutch Performers in this game are the RBs. Christian McCaffrey is at 93% and Jonathan Taylor is at 86% Clutch Ratios. Despite those two players being so high in CR, I expect this game to be determined by the QBs. Brock Purdy is 4 of 6 for Clutch Games, and I think he’ll have a great game tonight with George Kittle and Jauan Jennings leading the receiving room.

There are 6 expected Clutch Players based on the Consistency Reports: 4 from San Francisco (Purdy, McCaffrey, Jennings, and Kittle), and 2 from Indianapolis (Taylor and Tyler Warren). It’ll be hard for the Colts to keep up with the 49ers offensively. Taylor will be featured, but everyone in the building is aware of this. Another 49er signature win is incoming: 30-20, 49ers.
