NFL Fantasy Football Week 16 is here, and in this week’s “Under the Radar with Consistency” series, we’re focusing on help for the 2nd round of the playoffs.
It’s NFL Fantasy Football Week 16, and the “Under the Radar” series is here for you. Read on to see which under-the-radar players are going to help you secure a spot in your championship game.
For those who are new or need a refresher, here are a few key terms and definitions to help you during the season when reading.
- Clutch Factor (CF) – the average points a player needs to meet or exceed a Clutch Game based on scoring settings and league size. Think QB1, RB2, WR2, and TE1 thresholds.
- Clutch Games (CG) – weekly per-game award for a player who hits the CF factor. The more of these, the more consistent the player is.
- Clutch Rate (CR) – total of CG earned divided by total games; top fantasy players are usually > 70%.
- Football Consistency Report Tool (Scoring can be edited/Standard listed below)
- Based on 12-team leagues
- 4 points per passing touchdown
- 6 points for all other touchdowns
- 1 point per reception (PPR)
- 1 point per 20 passing yards
- 1 point per 10 rushing yards or 10 receiving yards

Fantasy Football Under the Radar (with consistency) – 12/16/2025
QB Bryce Young, CAR, NFL Fantasy Football Week 16.
This is a big swing, but Bryce Young has been on a heater in his last four games. During that stretch, he’s averaging 20 PPG and is QB5. Surprisingly to some, the Carolina Panthers are fighting for the NFC South Division crown. This week, they play the rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Additionally, they play them twice over the next three weeks.
The Panthers are averaging 29.5 points per game in home wins this season. They’ve scored at least 27 points in each of those four wins. Additionally, Young is averaging 18.98 points per game in those same games. That would have him as QB9 for the year.

(2025 Statistics: 31% CR, QB29: 14.2 PPG, 19% Rostered on Yahoo!)
Young has plenty of weapons at his disposal as well. Recently, the Panthers have gotten Jalen Coker back to full health, and he has responded with 14+ points in two straight games. That’s on top of already having a potential Offensive Rookie of the Year, Tetairoa McMillan, as his leading WR. Throw in the two-headed monster of Rico Dowdle and Chuba Hubbard at RB, and the Panthers have the potential for fireworks.
In several Super Flex leagues and a few of my 1 QB leagues, I’m starting Young. I’ve got him stacked with McMillan or Coker in all of them. If I were looking for a streaming start, then Young would be my choice.
OTHER Options: Jacoby Brissett (67%, he’s a preferred option but much higher rostered)
RB Blake Corum, LAR,
The Los Angeles Rams have already clinched a playoff spot and are currently the number 1 seed in the NFC. Recently, they’ve been utilizing a strong 2-man RB rotation that includes Kyren Williams and Blake Corum. Over the past three weeks, Corum has outscored Williams. Even more impressive, he’s RB9 during that time frame.
Corum is averaging 17.8 points per game over the last three games and has secured three straight Clutch Games! With the Rams locked into the playoffs, we may even see more of Corum in the next few weeks. With that said, he has the potential to be a playoff-winning RB. Even if it stays a timeshare, he’s proven he’s capable of putting up RB1 numbers.
(2025 Statistics: 29% CR, RB43: 6.7 PPG, 42% Rostered on Yahoo!)
An additional item that may help Corum is the current injury status of Davante Adams. When Adams went out this past week with a hamstring injury, the Rams went heavy personnel. Sean McVay will most likely want to establish the ground game early and often moving forward.
Corum has been a top-notch RB handcuff for most of the season. Only a few times flashing his potential. Over the past three weeks, it’s been evident that Corum has what it takes to be a workhorse. I’m confident starting him in my FLEX spot and potentially RB2 spot if necessary.
OTHER Low Rostered Options: Michael Carter (29%), Isaiah Davis (3%), Jawhar Jordan (6%)
WR Jalen Coker, CAR,
Jalen Coker has had several flashes since he entered the league, but some bad luck with injuries this year has slowed him down. But, over the past two weeks, Coker is WR17, averaging 15.7 PPG.
I already touched on the potential for Bryce Young above, and Coker has become a solid running-mate for him moving forward. For the season, Coker is at 25% CR, but he’s had back-to-back Clutch Games coming into Week 16.

(2025 Statistics: 25% CR, WR61: 7.8 PPG, 8% Rostered on Yahoo!)
This Panthers team is good at home, averaging 29.5 PPG in wins in Charlotte. Weeks 16 and 17 are home matchups. In addition to the Buccaneers this week, they get Seattle in Week 17. The Seahawks are 11-3 and present a difficult matchup for the Panthers. Recalling Week 13, the number 1 seed Rams came to Charlotte and the Panthers won that game 31-28.
The Panthers are currently fighting for their own playoff spot and division title. With that in mind, Dave Canales will have the Panthers’ offense prepared. I’m comfortable stacking both Young and Coker in many of my own semi-final games this week; you should too.
WR Adonai Mitchell, NYJ, NFL Fantasy Football Week 16.
The New York Jets have had a tumultuous season. One of their few bright spots recently has been the ascendence of Adonai Mitchell. All season, the team has been searching for a WR2 behind Garrett Wilson. To make matters worse, Wilson went down with an injury and hasn’t returned yet.
Over the past three weeks, Mitchell is WR19, averaging 15 PPG. During that time, he’s been peppered with targets, averaging 9 per game. As the de facto WR1, he’s risen to the challenge for a Jets team without any other semblance of offense.
(2025 Statistics: 23% CR, WR85: 5.8 PPG, 18% Rostered on Yahoo!)
On the season, Mitchell has a 23% CR, but he’s had two over the past three weeks. He hadn’t seen more than 4 targets in any game before being traded to the Jets. Now, he’s an easy click for WR3/FLEX.
If you’re in a deep league or need a potential volume play, Mitchell is your guy. Even with Brady Cook starting at QB, he’s still getting his. Mitchell’s biggest competition right now is John Metchie, but keep an eye on the injury report in case we see Wilson make his return as well.
OTHER Low Rostered Options: Devaughn Vele (13%), Isaiah Bond (0%)
TE Colby Parkinson, LAR, NFL Fantasy Football Week 16.
Again…pick up Harold Fannin Jr. if he’s available. If not, get Colby Parkinson. Last week, he ascended to a legit Red Zone target for Matthew Stafford.
Over the past two weeks, Parkinson has scored 12.2 points and then 24.5 points this past week. He’s TE6 during that time frame (Fannin is TE5). Outside of Fannin, only much higher picks like Trey McBride, George Kittle, Kyle Pitts, and Dallas Goedert are ahead of him.
(2025 Statistics: 36% CR, TE26: 7.9 PPG, 24% Rostered on Yahoo!)
Parkinson has been coming on as of late, with three of his last four games coming in as Clutch. He’s actually hit four of his last six as well. For the season, he’s only at 36% but it’s been rising. Despite not coming on until the last few weeks, he’s already the TE23 for overall scoring.
Again, it’s always tough at TE unless you have a big-name player; even those middle-round picks put up zeroes. If Davante Adams is definitely out this week, then I’d be happy to stream Parkinson or even start him over a middle-tier TE with a tough matchup.
