As we wrapped up Week 12, the Weeks 1 through 11 “wonders” are only producing at a 24.7% consistency rate after the big week. Let’s see who the Week 12 One-Week Wonders were and whether they look like a potential breakout start moving forward.

QB – Cam Ward – #4 overall – 23.90 points
Cam Ward earned his first clutch game of the season. This was surprising as the Seahawks were middle of the pack in giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks. Ward’s 266 yards and 37 yards rushing to go along with two touchdowns was a great week for anyone who HAD to start him. Can he make it two in a row? Maybe? He has the Jaguars this week, who rank 28th in giving up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks. We’ll be tracking it!
Week 12 NFL Fantasy Consistency Reports
RB – Kareem Hunt – #5 overall – 22.00 points
Maybe some folks are starting Hunt every week. If you’re in a deep flex league, he’s going to be there. In a regular 12-team lineup with one flex, Hunt may not be in the thought process for fantasy owners. He’s 31st in total points and 50% consistent. However, IF you started him this week, you were rewarded with his biggest game of the season. The key is the touchdowns. He’s had three straight games with a touchdown, and this week he had two touchdowns. That’s been great recently, but can he continue that streak every week? Doubtful.
WR – John Metchie – #11 overall – 18.50 points
Metchie earned his first clutch game in Week 11 and was a desperation waiver wire pickup in deep leagues. If you picked him, then congrats! Just like the Spanish Inquisition, no one expected an even bigger week this week from Metchie. But here we are. His six catches for 65 yards and a touchdown pushed Metchie into the Top 12 receivers for this week. If he’s still on the waiver wire, I’d grab him.
TE – Brenton Strange – #4 overall – 14.30 points
Strange has been off since Week 5 with a hip injury. No one expected to do much when he returned this past weekend. However, the Jags and Trevor Lawrence had different ideas. Strange had five catches for 93 yards. With the Jags’ pass offense struggling without Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr, Strange may still be consistent the remainder of the season.
