NFL Fantasy Week 13 Start/Sits Advice & Football Strategy

Week 13 NFL Fantasy Start/Sits: QB

START – Jacoby Brissett – ARI @ TB

The Bucs have been among the most generous defenses to fantasy QBs over the past three weeks. Over that same span, Brissett has posted yardage totals of 258, 452, and 317 with five touchdowns and two interceptions. It’s been an air raid offense since Brissett took over, and it figures to stay that way with the run game being a non-factor. Marvin Harrison Jr. could be back in the fold this week, but even if he’s not, Brissett is a great start.

SIT – Brock Purdy – SF @ CLE

I liked Purdy a lot a couple of weeks ago, but he’s coming off a clunker against Carolina with three interceptions and just 193 yards passing. The Browns’ defense continues to roll despite the offense’s struggles. Purdy is still lacking a WR he can trust, and it will be a tough day for him. Despite being 75% consistent, this doesn’t figure to be a week to expect a clutch game from the ‘Niners QB.

START – Breece Hall – NYJ vs. ATL

Hall has posted over 1,000 yards from scrimmage despite the Jets being one of the worst offenses in the league. He’s seen at least 20 touches in five of his last six games and has three clutch games over that span. The Falcons’ defense has had issues with opposing running backs and has allowed 17 receptions to the position over the past three weeks. Hall figures to have a role in the passing game and should improve upon his meager three-touchdown total this week.

SIT – Aaron Jones – MIN @ SEA

The Vikings’ O-line is banged up, and rookie Max Brosmer is the starting QB. That doesn’t bode well for Aaron Jones or any of the Vikes offense. The Seahawks have allowed just one rushing touchdown over the last three weeks, and continue to be one of the better units against the run this year. It’s going to be hard for any of this Vikings offense to be trusted in your Week 13 matchups.

Week 13 NFL Fantasy Start/Sits: WR

START – Khalil Shakir – BUF @ PIT

Shakir is coming off his biggest game of the season against a tough Houston defense (8 grabs 110 yards) and should keep it rolling this week. He’s seen 37 targets over his last five games, and continues to be the best WR in a weak Buffalo room. The Steelers are allowing the fourth most fantasy points to the position, so if the weather cooperates (56% chance of rain) Shakir should get his second straight clutch game.

SIT – Michael Pittman Jr. – IND vs. HOU

Much like the Colts entire offense, Pittman Jr. has exceeded expectations this season. He scored a touchdown in a Week 12 loss to KC, but didn’t do much else with just 27 yards receiving. It gets no easier in Week 13 as he draws a Texans defense that allows the third fewest fantasy points to WR. Pittman Jr. is just two for eight in his career against good defenses at home. Sit him if you can.

START – Colby Parkinson – LAR vs. CAR

The Rams are averaging just over 32 points per game over the last three, and figure to keep it rolling this week. Parkinson has been a sneaky weapon for them during that stretch. He has a touchdown in each game, and more than 40 yards in two of those three. He’s a solid play at a weak position against a Panthers team that has allowed 65 grabs and five TDs to the position on the season.

Sit – David Njoku – CLE vs. SF

Njoku isn’t far off from being benched everywhere. Luckily, he plays at a weak position, but he needs to sit in anything but the juiciest of matchups. Week 12 saw him see zero targets, and he hasn’t seen more than two in any of the past three games. With the QB position being taken over by rookies, Njoku is tough to trust.
