Each week, I’m bringing you the prior week’s one-week wonders and we are going to track this all year! Why? We want to see how many of these one-week wonders continue their consistency or not.

Here is the updated chart through Week 5.

Trend from Week 1 to Week 5:

Jaleel McLaughlin scored another 18 points this week, and it appears that he is here to stay, even with Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine splitting carries.

Zack Moss continued his torrid pace even with the return of Jonathan Taylor. Moss will absolutely be in the game plan moving forward. He should be in your lineup until further notice.

Pharoah Brown put up consecutive zeros after his flash-in-the-pan performance. He is safe to drop at this point.

Mac Jones has fallen off the proverbial cliff, being benched in two straight weeks. He is safe to drop at this point.

WEEK 5 BREAKOUTS

Desmond Ridder – 6th overall – 24.20

Desmond Ridder completed 28-of-37 pass attempts for 329 yards and one touchdown while also rushing four times for 10 yards and one touchdown. Ridder easily had his best output of the season, after a couple of single-digit weeks. Ridder has been too up and down to trust consistently, but he does have the highly beatable Bears defense this week. If you are looking for an emergency QB on a thin waiver wire, it would be worth it to take a shot on Ridder.

Tyjae Spears – 9th overall – 16.90

Spears rushed the ball seven times for 34 yards with a touchdown on Sunday, along with chipping in 4 catches for 35 yards. Spears has been increasing his output every week for 3 weeks, and it looks like he could be featured more in the season for a Titans team looking for any kind of weapon it can find. Spears is absolutely worth a pickup on the waiver wire if he happens to be there.

Josh Downs – 18th overall – 15.70

Downs recorded six receptions on six targets for 97 yards on Sunday. It was, like Spears, his best game of the young season. Downs did most of his damage with Gardener Minshew under center, which bodes well as Minshew will have the reigns of the offense for the next 4 weeks. Downs can be safely moved into WR3/Flex territory, with upside.

Adam Trautman – 11th overall – 12.60

Trautman caught three of his four targets for 26 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He had recorded goose eggs in the last 3 weeks, before scoring his first TD of the season. This rise should be short-lived, as Greg Dulcich should be returning in week 6. Trautman can be safely left on the waiver wire.
