Fantasy Football Draft Strategies – As The Consistency Turns – RB – Rounds 3/4

One of the biggest fantasy football draft strategies is navigating the turn.  As we find ourselves in the midst of draft season, there’s much new information to be uncovered. While training camp is important, and there are always a few names that surprise, you pretty much have your strategy nailed down. You have your Consistency Guide, you’ve done your research, you’ve mock drafted. It’s almost that time. However, I’m going to provide one last pre-draft series that will show you where to find consistency if you’re picking in those dreaded turns.

Ahh yes, the dreaded turn. Some love it, some hate it. Whether you’re a fan or not, I’m going to show you which of those turns is going to find you the most consistency bang for your buck on draft day!

Running Back

Round 3/4 Turn (Picks 36/37)

Possible targets based on current ADP

Kyren Williams – Pick 33, RB 15, 2025 Consistency Rank #6 (82%)

Don’t let Blake Corum scare you away! To get him at this turn, he’s going to have to slip a few picks, but he could easily make it to you at the turn. Williams has been a Top 6 consistent RB in our rankings over the last three seasons, and I fully expect him to be there again when 2026 is all said and done. Will Corum be in the mix? Absolutely. He’s a good player, and the Rams should use him. However, it’s not enough to scare me away from snagging him as my RB2 here.

Javonte Williams – Pick 34, RB 16, 2025 Consistency Rank #7 (81%)

Ranking just behind Kyren, Javonte Williams was another uber-consistent choice in 2025. Much like Kyren, he’s a great value here as an RB2, and he’s got to slide a couple of picks. He plays in a high-octane offense on a team with a defense that should improve but still won’t be great. Coming off a 1200-yard, 13-touchdown season, he should see the ball enough to give you a shot at RB1 value.

Josh Jacobs – Pick 36, RB 17, 2025 Consistency Rank #8 (80%)

The value here is solid as your RB2. However, a couple of red flags scare me away. Jacobs still has some legal issues that are hovering overhead and have yet to be sorted out, which could lead to a suspension. He’s also carried the rock an average of 277 times since his 2022 campaign, which saw him get the ball a whopping 340 times, so the odometer is ticking up. Lastly, his fantasy production was propped up by 14 total touchdowns in 2025, and if that were to dry up, he’s giving you RB3 production. There could be another productive year or two here, so if the legal issues don’t scare you, go for it. I’m staying away.

Cam Skattebo – Pick 42, RB 18, 2025 Consistency Rank #12 (75%)

Skat only suited up for eight games before getting injured, but delivered consistency in that limited time. He appears to be all the way back and sits as an excellent value at this turn. He seems Taylor-Made to play on a John Harbaugh team and figures to get the ball often. Skattebo is also a better receiver out of the backfield than he’s been given credit for, averaging three catches per game last season. He’s one of the best options here as your RB2.

Travis Etienne Jr. – Pick 43, RB19, 2025 Consistency Rank #13 (71%)

Depending on your league size, Etienne could be your RB3 or FLEX, which I like a lot. I don’t hate him as your RB2, but it remains to be seen how the Saints deploy him with Alvin Kamara. Etienne didn’t get paid as a free agent to sit on the bench, so I think he does enough to reach those RB2 numbers, but Kamara does limit him a bit. He’s in this range and will be a part of one of the up-and-coming offenses in the league.
