NFL Week 5 Game of Fantasy Points: Is Dowdle King this week?

Welcome Back! Big Guy Fantasy Sports is thrilled to bring you another year of the best in NFL consistency rankings and championship fantasy football strategy.

We’ve got a great Monday Night NFL Week 5 game in Jacksonville this week. 3.5 points favor the Chiefs despite being on the road. We lost the last remaining undefeated teams this week (the Eagles and Bills), which emphasizes the importance of each week. Is tonight’s game destined to be a consistent fantasy football success?

As per usual, now I am back to review the highest projected and most consistent fantasy football matchups for NFL Week 5. I’ll also go over tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Chiefs and Jaguars from a consistent fantasy viewpoint. Can anyone top Rico Dowdle and his 32.4 fantasy points so far this week?

Notes from the Highest Projected Games

We had some great NFL Week 5 games, and only one of our highest projected let us down; that game was the Las Vegas Raiders versus the Indianapolis Colts. As a matter of fact, this game got out of hand early, as the Colts cruised to a 40-6 win. Our projections for that game were hurt by several injured players missing the game, including both Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer.

Featured the QB2 (Darnold), QB3 (Prescott), RB2 (Taylor), WR1 (Egbuka), WR2 (Chase), WR3 (Smith-Njigba), TE1 (Barner), and TE2 (Ferguson)

Despite that blowout, the four games projected for the highest consistency featured the three highest-scoring games this week, and even the blowout was 6th. Each of the other three games scored a combined 59 or more points.

NFL Week 5 Monday Night Football, Chiefs (-3.5) at Jaguars

Tonight for Monday Night Football, we’ve got the Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1). Both teams have high expectations, and it should be a competitive contest (45.5 O/U); the Chiefs are only favored by 3.5.  The Chiefs lead the all-time series 10-6, including one postseason game between these two franchises.

The game is projected to have 6 Clutch performers. Patrick Mahomes should have his way with the Jaguars’ defense, so I anticipate he’ll lead the game in fantasy points. Additionally, he’s QB3 on the year, averaging 22.4 points per game. On the other side of the game, I see Travis Etienne (RB17) being heavily involved in the passing game and pacing the Jaguars in fantasy points. Should be a fun one to watch, but this game could be boring for the “Fantasy Game of Points”. I like the Chiefs more tonight, final score: 27-23, Chiefs.
