“Bob Lung shares the most consistent quarterbacks of 2024 and his projected rankings for 2025. Follow him @bob_lung”
In the past, the quarterback position for Fantasy Football purposes was easily the most-wanted position to draft. However, the consistency rating was down this year for the quarterbacks. After the 2023 season, which gave us the lowest Clutch Factor in 22 years (18.47), the Clutch Factor went back up to a more normal (19.95). However, of those quarterbacks who played more than half of the season, only TWO quarterbacks were over 80% consistent, and only three more were over 70%. There were also only three quarterbacks between 60% – 70% consistent. But 60% is the usual threshold for good consistency. At quarterback, you really want your starter to be over 70% consistent. Since there were only FIVE quarterbacks over 70% last year, you have to wonder if it’s really worth drafting a quarterback in Rounds 2 through 4.

Let’s look at those quarterbacks ranked in their projected Tier for 2025 and show you their 2024 total points and consistency, and where they ranked in those categories in 2024. The scoring method is the standard 4 points per TD passing and 6 for rushing, plus 1 point for every 20 yards passing and 10 yards rushing. So, let’s start with the top tier of quarterbacks.
TIER ONE
| Player Name | Total Points | Rank | Total CG | Total GP | CR | Rank | 2025 Tier | 2025 Rank |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lamar Jackson | 479.10 | 1 | 15 | 17 | 88% | 1 | QB1A | 1 |
| Josh Allen | 422.35 | 4 | 12 | 16 | 75% | 3 | QB1A | 2 |
| Joe Burrow | 436.00 | 2 | 12 | 17 | 71% | 4 | QB1A | 3 |
| Jayden Daniels | 394.50 | 5 | 12 | 17 | 71% | 5 | QB1A | 4 |
| Jalen Hurts | 354.15 | 9 | 10 | 15 | 67% | 6 | QB1A | 5 |
As it was noted above, these top quarterbacks are ranked where they were because their past consistency separates them from the other remaining QB1’s below. These five quarterbacks won’t be available after Round 3. So, if you want one of them, you’ll need to grab them when it comes to you in Rounds 2 or 3. Lamar Jackson was great last year, but he rarely puts back-to-back great consistency seasons. Do you need to draft one of these five to get consistency at your quarterback position? Well, look at the QB1B quarterbacks and you tell me? It’s not pretty, that’s for sure!
