WK2 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sits Advice & Predictions

Wk2 NFL Start/Sits: Quarterbacks

Start – C.J. Stroud – HOU vs. TB

Stroud is 63% consistent in his career at home against bad defenses. That’s the scenario in Week 2 as Tampa Bay visits Houston. Last week, Michael Penix Jr. was one of our most clutch QBs against the Bucs. Stroud should follow suit in Week 2.

Sit – Michael Penix – ATL @ MIN

The previously mentioned Penix had a big Week 1 and secured a clutch game in the process. This week, ATL heads north to Minnesota and faces a tough Vikings defense. Albeit a small sample, Penix is 0 for 2 in clutch games against good defenses on the road. It also doesn’t help that Darnell Mooney and Drake London head into the contest banged up.

Start- Travis Etienne Jr. – JAX @ CIN

Week 1 saw Etienne handle 19 total touches for 156 total yards. After Week 1, Jacksonville dealt Tank Bigsby to Philly, which bodes well for Etienne moving forward. In his career, he is 6 for 8 CG against average defenses on the road. The Bengals’ defense was decent against the run in Week 1, but it did allow Dylan Sampson eight receptions for 64 yards.

Sit – Nick Chubb – HOU vs TB

As much as I like his QB, Chubb should ride the pine if you have a better option. Over the last two seasons, when healthy, he’s just 1 for 4 in clutch games. While Bijan Robinson torched the Bucs defense in the passing game, he ran for just 24 yards on 12 carries. Chubb isn’t a factor in the passing game, so he should be limited in this matchup.

Start – Keenan Allen – LAC @ LV

We love us some Keenan Allen, and this week is no different. Over the last three years, Allen is 4 for 4 on the road vs. bad defenses when it comes to clutch games. He looked like his old self in Week 1 with seven grabs for 68 yards and a score. His line should look similar this week.

Sit – Calvin Ridley – TEN vs. LAR

Ridley is just 2 for 10 on the road against average defenses over the past three seasons. I’m no math major, but a 20% clutch rating isn’t what you’re looking for in your lineups. Denver was a tough match for Cam Ward, and he should do better against the Rams, but it will be tough going for the Tennessee passing game.

Start – Sam Laporta – DET vs CHI

Laporta is a clutch game machine at home in his career, no matter the skill level of the defense. The third-year TE is 14 for 16 at home. It also helps that Jared Goff is a strong start at Ford Field as well. He should secure another clutch game in Week 2.

Sit – Jake Ferguson – DAL vs NYG

After failing to record a clutch game in Week 1, it should be the same result for Week 2. Ferguson is just 43% consistent against good defenses at home over the past three seasons. The Giants allowed just 3 catches for 26 yards to Washington TE’s in Week 1.
