Week 14 gives us some great opportunities in the NFL DFS landscape. Injuries and bye weeks have shaken depth charts, creating both opportunity and chaos. The challenge is balancing cheap value with trustworthy production. The goal is simple: stay consistent, cash in, and climb into the green.
Navigating the Slate
This week’s DFS slate seems difficult, but injuries have opened up some great values. There’s a temptation to use salary just because it’s there. With some big names missing, this build leans on value where it matters most while finding stability in proven players.
The final lineup reflects a “consistently cash” mindset — the kind of structure aimed at 50/50s and double-ups, not high-risk tournaments. It’s about profit through balance, not boom-or-bust swings.
QB – Jordan Love – Green Bay Packers ($5900)
While he doesn’t throw for monster yards, he has been efficient (19/3 TD/INT) and has gone over 300 passing yards a few times. Love is coming off a Thanksgiving Day clutch game in which he threw for three touchdowns and zero interceptions. This week, he gets a Bears defense allowing the third most fantasy points at the position. At his price point, he should get enough production for us to pay up for studs elsewhere.

RB – James Cook, Buffalo Bills ($7800)
While I wish Cook would get even more involved in the pass game, he does have at least three receptions in four straight games, and this is a JUICY matchup. Cincinnati has allowed the most fantasy points per game to running backs on the season, and their inability to handle zone concept runs lines up well for Cook. The Buffalo running back leads all RBs (with at least 75 zone concept runs) in yards per carry at 5.70, per FantasyPoints Data. He’s an elite RB in this matchup, but he’s a couple of hundred dollars too cheap.
RB – Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints ($5100)
While this didn’t work out for us last week, we aren’t afraid to go back to the well! Neal remains the number one back in New Orleans, and while he didn’t score a touchdown or put up big yardage totals last week, he did get 17 touches. The Bucs have allowed the 12th most points to the position, but have allowed the most receiving yards to running backs on the season. It could be a week to get Neal involved in the passing game more. No matter what, he should see at least 15 touches.

WR – Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts ($5100)
Pierce has been great against zone coverage this season, posting 2.34 yards per route run per FantasyPoints Data, and Jacksonville plays zone at the eighth-highest clip in the league. There’s some boom-or-bust to Pierce’s game, which isn’t something we target often, but the price tag and matchup are too good to ignore, and he’s posted 17+ DraftKings points in three of his last four games.
WR – Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks ($9000)
Yes, we are going to pay up for consistency here with JSN. Yes, he struggled last week, posting a season-low 23 yards. However, we are paying top dollar for him this week. The Falcons have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to receivers over the last four weeks, and JSN’s dominance against single-high safety looks (3.73 yards per route run) sets him up for success. Furthermore, the Falcons have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to perimeter receivers over the last six weeks, and no receiver with more than 30 routes run on the SEASON has a higher fantasy points per route run when lined up wide than JSN, per FantasyPoints Data.
WR – Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals ($5600)
With no Marvin Harrison Jr. or Greg Dortch, Wilson is going to get peppered with targets in a game where the Cardinals are likely to be playing from behind. Remember, in two games a few weeks ago that Harrison Jr. missed, Wilson handled 33 targets! The Cardinals continue to throw the ball a ton, and we are going to happily play a sub-$6K receiver who has a very good chance of seeing double-digit targets.

TE – Colby Parkinson, Los Angeles Rams ($3100)
The Cardinals have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends on the season, and Parkinson’s price tag has increased by just $600 despite scoring 9+ DraftKings points in three of his last four! Matthew Stafford is keeping the tight ends involved, and Parkinson has three touchdowns over his last four games! Another reason why I like Parkinson? Over his last four games, he has just one fewer red zone target (7) than Davante Adams (8)!

D/ST – Indianapolis Colts ($3200)
This is partially me being a homer, but also using the remaining salary. Indy has been a consistent defense, averaging 7.7 FanDuel points. The Colts unit is sixth in the league in sacks and fourth in interceptions. Trevor Lawrence has thrown 11 picks on the season and has been sacked three or more times in six games. Indy could do some damage in this one.
