Each week, I’m bringing you the prior week’s one-week wonders, and we are going to track this all year! Why? We want to see how many of these one-week wonders continue their consistency or not.
Since it’s only Week 2, there isn’t much to track just yet, so I’m sharing my thoughts on their performance and whether I believe this can continue.
One-Week Wonders – Who Do We Trust? – 9/15/2025 – NFL Fantasy Week 3
QB – Russell Wilson – #2 overall – 30.30 points
Whoever expected a SHOOT-OUT between the Cowboys and Giants is lying! We expected this to be a very boring game between two bad teams after the Cowboys lost to the Eagles and the Giants were manhandled by the Commanders in Week 1. If anything, we probably expected a Cowboys beatdown of the Giants at home. However, 450 passing yards and three touchdowns later, Wilson was ranked second in total fantasy points for quarterbacks in Week 2. The Giants get the Chiefs at home on Sunday night in Week 3. I would temper my expectations on Russell Wilson continuing his fantasy prowess in Week 3.
Week 3 NFL Fantasy Consistency Reports
RB – Bhayshul Tuten – #17 overall – 15.40 points
Bhayshul Tuten was expected to be a bigger part of the offense with the trading of Tank Bigsby to Philadelphia. However, the breakout came very early as Tuten earned a Clutch game in Week 2 with 15.4 fantasy points for the Jaguars. He was helped by a receiving touchdown, but still had 84 yards to total yards plus his two receptions in the game. I’m not sold on his consistency going forward, as there will be tougher matchups in the future.
WR – Hunter Renfrow – #8 overall – 23.80 points
If the Monty Python scene from the Holy Grail of “Bring Out Yer Dead!” comes to mind when you saw Hunter Renfrow here, you’re not alone. Renfro was brought from the fantasy “grave” when he signed with the Panthers just two weeks ago. After a quiet Week 1, Renfro had seven catches for 48 yards. However, it was the two touchdown catches that put him ranked eighth overall in fantasy points. Is Renfro the “new” Adam Thielen? I think so.

TE – Ja’Tavion Sanders – #6 overall – 12.40 points
Just like Hunter Renfro above, Ja’Tavion Sanders greatly benefited from the garbage time/potential comeback in the Panthers/Cardinals game this past weekend. Sanders had seven catches for 54 yards and ended the week ranked sixth overall. He had a quiet Week 1, so I’m not sold on the Panthers’ pass offense just yet, especially with the Falcons’ strong pass rush coming in Week 3.
