NFL Fantasy Football Week 12: Under the Radar with Consistency!

Welcome Back! Big Guy Fantasy Sports is thrilled to bring you another year of the best in NFL consistency rankings and championship fantasy football strategy.

NFL Fantasy Football Week 12 is upon us. In the “Under the Radar with Consistency” series this week, check out some Clutch players for the upcoming Fantasy Playoffs.

The NFL season Week 11 is over, and we had some really high highs and some low lows! For NFL Fantasy Football Week 12, the “Under the Radar” series includes some key players for the final stretch run and potentially the playoffs for your fantasy teams.

For those who are new or need a refresher, here are a few key terms and definitions to help you during the season when reading.

  • Clutch Factor (CF) – the average points a player needs to meet or exceed a Clutch Game based on scoring settings and league size. Think QB1, RB2, WR2, and TE1 thresholds.
  • Clutch Games (CG) – weekly per-game award for a player who hits the CF factor. The more of these, the more consistent the player is.
  • Clutch Rate (CR) – total of CG earned divided by total games; top fantasy players are usually > 70%.
  • Football Consistency Report Tool (Scoring can be edited/Standard listed below)
    • Based on 12-team leagues
    • 4 points per passing touchdown
    • 6 points for all other touchdowns
    • 1 point per reception (PPR)
    • 1 point per 20 passing yards
    • 1 point per 10 rushing yards or 10 receiving yards

QB Jacoby Brissett, ARI, NFL Fantasy Football Week 12.

He was on the list last week, and he’s staying here until his roster percentage improves. He’s up to 51%, a 24% increase from last week, but that’s not enough. Jacoby Brissett has been a top 5 QB since taking over the starting job from Kyler Murray

Brissett was QB4 last week with 23.9 points. Additionally, in that game, he set an NFL record with 47 completions. His scoring output in that game increased his season average to 21.92 in games he’s started. That would be good enough to be QB3 for the season behind only Josh Allen (25.4) and Patrick Mahomes (22.6).

(2025 Statistics: 71% CR **Includes games not started, QB22: 15.7 PPG, 51% Rostered on Yahoo!)

Not only is Brissett averaging 314 yards passing per game, but he’s also running a bit. In his five games started, he’s averaging 15.2 yards per game rushing. That additional boost makes the difference between him being QB3 on per-game average and QB7. That scoring has been very consistent as well. Brissett has had Clutch Games in all five starting appearances (100% CR).

In leagues where I have a QB on bye or have been unhappy with my QB production, I’ve turned to Brissett. He has a couple of tough games on the schedule, facing the Rams and Texans in weeks 15 and 16, but overall, his schedule sets up nicely. If you don’t have a top 5 QB, then I suggest giving Brissett a shot; he’s proven to fit the Arizona Cardinals’ system perfectly.

RB Kenneth Gainwell, PIT,

Kenneth Gainwell is a name familiar to fantasy players from his past seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. From time to time, he got some opportunity and he’s produced when given that chance. The same thing has happened this year in Pittsburgh now that Gainwell is a Steeler.

In games that Gainwell has gotten 10+ touches, he’s averaging 18.95 points per game. This week, Jaylen Warren was unable to practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury, and he may miss this week’s game. Even in limited touches, Gainwell has value; he’s RB27 on the season and averaging 10+ points per game overall.

(2025 Statistics: 20% CR, RB27: 10.9 PPG, 51% Rostered on Yahoo!)

Despite his production, Gainwell has been well behind Warren in the pecking order. He’s only had 10+ touches in four games this season. Due to that lack of involvement, Gainwell has a 20% CR. But as I mentioned, if he gets touches, he produces.

We’ve got several good RBs on bye this week, with the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and Washington Commanders all off this week. With a lot of teams’ playoff hopes on the line, I’d confidently start Gainwell this week, especially if Warren is ruled on Sunday.

WR Kayshon Boutte, NE,

Welcome back Kayshon Boutte! Boutte is practicing in full this week after missing the previous three weeks. During that time, his percentage rostered has dropped to 33%.

Before missing time, Boutte was on a heater and had hit three straight Clutch Games. During those three games, he averaged 18.76 points per game. That number for the season would make him WR8, just behind Amon-Ra St. Brown (18.8).

We’ve all seen how the New England Patriots’ offense has been coming together. Drake Maye is even getting M.V.P. consideration. Boutte was a big part of that before his hamstring injury. He’ll slot right back into the offense this week as the WR2 behind Stefon Diggs and pick up where he left off.

This week and moving forward, I feel extremely confident in Boutte being a WR3 with upside. If he’s available in your league and you need a bye-week fill-in or have an open FLEX, then go pick him up!

WR Alec Pierce, IND, NFL Fantasy Football Week 12.

Daniel Jones has been the tide that rises all boats in Indianapolis this season. One of those boats is Alec Pierce, who comes into Week 12 on a two Clutch Game streak; the Colts were on bye last week. As a matter of fact, Pierce has had a Clutch Game in three of his past four games played.

Pierce has always been a big-play threat, but this season he’s put it together much more consistently with Jones. He’s scored 10+ points in all but three games this season. Furthermore, over his past four games, Pierce is averaging 14.90 points per game.

(2025 Statistics: 63% CR, WR38: 11.60 PPG, 57% Rostered on Yahoo!)

The biggest fear is a crowded receiving room in Indianapolis. The Colts feature Michael Pittman Jr. and Tyler Warren, who both eat up a lot of targets. The positive news is that the Colts dealt Adonai Mitchell before the trade deadline, which showed their increased faith in Pierce.

I like Pierce as a WR3 with spike-week capability moving forward. The Colts’ offense is the highest-scoring in the league, averaging 32.1 points per game. Rolling the dice on their WR2 and getting a piece of that offense seems like an excellent risk to take.

TE Dalton Schultz, HOU,

The Houston Texans have been playing Davis Mills at QB since C.J. Stroud went down with an injury. During that time, Dalton Schultz has been racking up fantasy points. He’s actually had three straight Clutch Games and has had four Clutch Games out of his last five games played.

The Texans have had some injuries within their receiving room this season, losing Christian Kirk and Nico Collins both to injuries at times. Schultz has stepped up and become the de facto top receiving option for some of those stretches. He’s had 8+ targets in three straight games and shows no signs of slowing down.

(2025 Statistics: 50% CR, TE14: 10.6 PPG, 48% Rostered on Yahoo!)

Schultz has proven he can produce even without Stroud, but could be getting him back soon. Over the past three games, he’s averaging 14.36 points per game. That pace would have him as TE4 for the season.

TE, like always, has been a headache this season unless you secured a top TE (Trey McBride, George Kittle, or Brock Bowers), but those guys all cost a premium in drafts. Players like Schultz can lessen that pain with some consistent fantasy points. It’s surprising to me that he’s under 50% rostered in leagues. I’ve added him in a couple of places and am comfortable with him as my starting TE.
