Every year as Fantasy owners head into their drafts, they are always looking for the “sleepers” or undervalued players. The Clutch Games system identifies undervalued players that most systems can’t. These are the players who are consistent week after week but don’t normally have huge games. These players slip down and can be drafted at great value.
I will identify those picks who are undervalued based on their current ADP’s from Fantasy Football Calculator.com. This way if you want to pick a player early, you can and still get good value based on what round you draft them. Or you can wait until the middle or late rounds and get great value just as easily. It’s your call! Let’s take a look at the running backs.
Chris Carson quietly ended the 2018 season ranked 15th in total points in only 14 games. His consistency was 71% (which ranked him 12th in consistency) and he also ranked 12th in xConsistency. The Seahawks traded away Mike Davis leaving Carson and an underwhelming Rashad Penny to compete with. Yet, Carson’s current ADP is RB26 and he is going late in Round 5. Out of the four games that he didn’t earn a Clutch Game, two of them he received less than eight touches. Summary: When Carson gets the touches, he’s clutch and at this point, he is undervalued in most Fantasy drafts!
