Bears 31 Redskins 15
Going into this game the main issue the Redskins were gonna have is there offensive line trying to contain the front seven of this Bears defense. The first drive was the beginning of the end for Case Keenum. On their first drive, Case dropped back to pass and threw a terrible pass and it landed right into Haha Clinton Dix’s hands for a pick six. As they came back on the field, they tried to run some play action fakes but Mack terrorized the o line this whole drive and continued to do so the whole game. Donald Penn definitely showed his age in this game against a premier pass rusher. Case continued to make mistakes throughout the game with his flurry of interceptions and fumbles. The lone bright spot from the Redskins offense has to be the rookie sensation F1 Terry McLaurin. He constantly flashed all game against this awesome secondary. Six receptions on 8 targets for 70 yards and a TD is a great sign going forward for this young man. For fantasy he is an every week start no question asked until he shows me otherwise. The running game has been non existent. Adrian Peterson looks like he’s running in mud on every carry. Chris Thompson flashed a bit but he is a flex play at best during some upcoming bye weeks coming up.
Geez… I don't know where to start with Trubisky. If you look at basic eye test when he started the game Monday, he really struggles with reading a defense when his first read was taken away. Otherwise, the stat line showed a different story. Yes, he did miss some critical throws, but he did make some good reads to Allen Robinson and Trey Burton early on during the game. The super star of the game was surprisingly Taylor Gabriel. The first touchdown he caught, my 12 year old cousin could have caught that but the toe drag swag he showed on the third touchdown was freaking amazing. For fantasy purposes, you cannot trust Gabriel week to week due to his lack of consistency from week to week. Allen Robinson is a weekly start in a PPR format due to his report with Mitch with consistent RPO options and back shoulder fades down the sideline. David Montgomery is the clear cut best back on the team but can you please explain to me why Mr Nagy why you insist on putting Cordarelle Patterson in the backfield taking carries away from David. It would be very annoying to see if this continues throughout this year. Montgomery consistently broke tackles and ran for 5 yards a carry in this contest. Mitch Trubisky is streamable option against a good matchup and Montgomery is a safe flex play if he continues to get 15 touches a game.
