Week 17 NFL Fantasy Start: QB
START – Caleb Williams – CHI @ SF
The ‘Niners defense isn’t as scary as their record might indicate. I look for this game script to be similar to what we saw with San Fran and Indianapolis in Week 16. Philip Rivers looked like his old self, throwing for 277 yards and two touchdowns. The 49ers put this one away early, and the Colts played catch-up the rest of the way. The Bears’ defense has been one of the worst against fantasy quarterbacks, so this one could see a lot of points scored on both sides. Both QBs are worthy of being in your lineups, but Williams might get more opportunities playing from behind on the road.
Week 17 NFL Fantasy Start: RB
START – Tyrone Tracy Jr. – NYG @ LV
Tracy has three clutch games in his last four outings and has seen at least 15 carries in each of the previous two. I’d like to see him get a little more involved in the passing game, but he has five receptions in the past two games and a touchdown pass. The Raiders’ season has been over for a while, and they have been generous to fantasy RBs all season, allowing the 10th most fantasy points to running backs. There’s no reason to believe he won’t hit that 15 carry mark against a bad defense.

Week 17 NFL Fantasy Start: WR
START – Stefon Diggs – NE @ NYJ
The Jets haven’t been awful against fantasy WRs, but they haven’t been great either. Both Mack Hollins and Kayshon Boutte have been ruled out, so there should be plenty of targets for Diggs. He’s coming off a clutch game, and his biggest game of the season against Baltimore (9 catches for 138 yards). Drake Maye is the real deal, and he’s going to need to get the ball to Diggs quite a bit this week.
Week 17 NFL Fantasy Start: TE
START – Brenton Strange – JAX @ IND
The Colts are one of five teams to allow over 1000 yards receiving to tight ends this season. Last time against Indy, Strange had just three catches for 27 yards, but he did see six targets. He should see just as many this time out, and Indy’s defense hasn’t gotten any better. Trevor Lawrence should see another clutch game, and Strange is a good bet for one as well.
