The NFL blessed us fantasy footballers with no teams on bye last week but there were injuries everywhere including a bunch of quarterbacks going down (5, yes, 5!).  This week four teams are on bye: Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, and San Francisco 49ers.  There’s quite a bit of fantasy goodness missing this week within those teams along with other injuries piling up across the league. Let’s continue to double down on consistency and utilize the Big Guy Fantasy Sports consistency tools to find some players we should be targeting.  If you haven’t already then be sure to go back and check out the previous entries in this series as I’ve been highlighting consistent players throughout the year!  Below I’ve listed a few additional “under the radar” consistent players that’ll help your team this week and moving forward!

QB Baker Mayfield – TB vs. @HOU (Rostered 41%, Started 24% on Yahoo!)

Baker has quietly revitalized his career as last season he finished strong with the Los Angeles Rams and then parlayed that into a deal with Tampa Bay as the replacement for Tom Brady.  This year he comes into week 9 with 57% Clutch Ratio (CR, amount of consistently high scoring games over total games played).  This includes 3 out of Baker’s last 4 games played coming up as clutch games which has him listed as the QB19 overall on the year. Surprisingly enough Baker puts up better numbers this year on the road than he does at home (15.48 vs 21.97).  His mark in home games has him in the top 10 on a points per game basis.  In a week where four viable starting quarterbacks are on bye and multiple others injured across the week it’s time to fire Baker up with confidence (67% CR in away games).
