Fantasy Football: Under the Radar (with consistency) – Week 18
Every week, James Knight uses our Consistency Tools to see who’s flying under the radar consistently! Follow him on X @JKeasy.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2024 has started great for you all and for those who played in a championship game last week I hope you all got the win! For those still venturing into week 18 championship games or for those who want some week 18 DFS action I present the last regular season week of “under the radar” players this year! Week 18 gets a little tricky as we have to navigate those teams who already have playoff locks and will be resting their big-name stars. I’ll focus on the information available to us (teams that need to play their stars in key matchups) and try to highlight only the players expected to play this week. Hopefully, the series has helped you all out this year and I am always happy to hear feedback from readers so hit me up on X for any questions or comments. If you’ve enjoyed this series and crave some more fantasy goodness, then sign up for Big Guy Fantasy Sports as we continue with football coverage and also check out our awesome baseball content as well!
Be sure to follow our series “Football Prop Bets: Prop Bet Consistency Picks” and tail those plays on our partner site at ParlayPlay! If you sign up today for ParlayPlay you’ll get $5 free and up to a $100 deposit match by using our custom code BGFS!
QB Kyler Murray – @ARI vs. SEA (Rostered 70%, Started 22% on Yahoo!)
Kyler Murray has the Cardinals at 3-4 since coming back from injury and that includes a win last week over the playoff-bound Philadelphia Eagles (much to the chagrin of Eagles’ fans). Kyler’s 71% Clutch Ratio (CR, amount of consistently high-scoring games over total games played) lists him as the 4th most clutch quarterback this season. Kyler has always been a talented quarterback and his fantasy numbers have consistently placed him in the top 10 at the position every year he’s played. This year has been no different as Murray is averaging a juicy 20.99 points per game, QB10 on the season. The Cardinals aren’t playing for much more than pride at this point but Murray, despite head coach Jonathan Gannon’s endorsement, seems to be embattled in a showcase for the Cardinal’s franchise quarterback spot. I wouldn’t bet against the Cardinals and Murray this week as I expect a multi-touchdown game for Kyler with some Trey McBride highlights against a weak Seattle Seahawks secondary (20th in the league in passing defense).
