It’s week 12 and it’s officially bye-mageddon! We’re looking at six teams on bye this week; the Bills, Bengals, Falcons, Jaguars, Jets, and Saints are all on hiatus leaving fantasy teams dangerously thin. No worries though as this week’s “Under the Radar” article is here to help you out. Without further ado, here’s the list of this weeks under the radar players!
QB Bo Nix – DEN vs. @LV (Rostered 67%, Started 46% on Yahoo!)
The Denver Broncos are exceeding expectations this year as they’ve already passed their over/under on their win total in Vegas (5.5). A big reason for that has been the progression of Bo Nix, the 12th overall pick in this past year’s draft. On the year Nix has a 55% CR (Clutch Ratio) and he’s quietly had a clutch game in three of his last four games played going back to week 8. Overall, for the season Bo is currently ranked as the QB7 and he’s scoring 20.40 points per game. His numbers have continued to go up as he progresses and he’s averaging 25.91 points per game. That number would have him ranked as the QB2 trailing only Lamar Jackson at 27.93. Nix has established that he’s a dual threat quarterback who’s able to process defenses quickly (averaging 26.82 rushing yards per game while completing over 65% of his passes) and it’s adding up to a lot of fantasy points. He was named AFC offensive player of the week this past week after carving up the Atlanta Falcons’ defense to the tune of 307 yards passing and 4 touchdowns. This week you can expect more of that as Bo faces the Las Vegas Raiders (allowed the 8th most passing yards this season). I expect Bo to continue having a high floor and ceiling, he’ll finish the season as a QB1 (12 team leagues) and should probably be starting over everyone but the top few signal-callers in fantasy (Lamar, Allen, Burrow, and maybe Hurts).
