Each week, I’m bringing you the prior week’s one-week wonders and we are going to track this all year! Why? We want to see how many of these one-week wonders continue their consistency or not.

Since it’s only Week 1, there isn’t much to track just yet, so I’m sharing my thoughts on their performance and whether I believe this can continue.

QB – Mac Jones – #2 overall – 25.14 points

Mac Jones had a terrific game against the Eagles in the second half, mounting a comeback that fell just short. 25 points might be on the high end of what he can deliver, and you shouldn’t expect to see him in the top 3 for QB scoring all year. That said, he could be a consistent High-End QB2 for you.

RB – Kyren Williams – #9 overall – 17.40 points

Williams came out of left field as everyone was expecting Cam Akers and Williams stole the show. He performed admirably in his role, and the Rams ended up winning the game. The Rams were thought to be in rebuild mode, but they could be a sneaky good team this year. Worth a pick-up and start.

WR – Kendrick Bourne – #4 overall – 24.40 points

The beneficiary of Mac Jones’ comeback attempt, Boure had some impressive touchdown catches. The nature of New England’s WR corps is that no one is the #1, but if Bourne can force himself into that position with the trust of Jones, he could be a good flex play the rest of the year, but certainly not top 5 as he was in week 1.

TE Donald Parham – #4 overall – 11.10 points

Week 1 was TE Armageddon, as Kelce, Andrews, Goedert and Pitts combined for less than 4 points combined. This led to a unique set of circumstances where any TE with a decent game was going to be propelled up the ranks. Parham was the beneficiary of a TD and is still behind Gerald Everett on the depth chart. Best to leave him alone on waivers.
