Fantasy Football – Consistency Check-In – Week 8

Welcome to the Consistency Check-in! Each week Ron Rigney will highlight players at each position that either barely recorded a Clutch Game, or fell just short. Are they must adds, or must drops? Was it a fluke or is there consistency to be had? Come back here each week to find out!  Follow Ron on Twitter @ronrigney

Andy Dalton, QB – NO

You may be asking yourself why I would be singing the praises of a guy who is just 25% consistent on the season. Normally I wouldn’t, but Dalton’s next few matchups are too good to ignore, including this week against Las Vegas. The Red Rifle went off last week for 361 yards and four scores and three interceptions against Arizona. The Raiders are currently allowing the most fantasy yards to QB’s in the league, so look for Dalton to pile up some stats again this week. He will be without Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry again, but I think there are enough playmakers left for him to have a second consecutive consistent week. Oh yeah, he also has Baltimore and Pittsburgh coming up who are also very kind to fantasy quarterbacks.
