Fantasy Football – Consistency Check-In – Week 6

Welcome to the Consistency Check-in! Each week Ron Rigney will highlight players at each position that either barely recorded a Clutch Game, or fell just short. Are they must adds, or must drops? Was it a fluke or is there consistency to be had? Come back here each week to find out!  Follow Ron on Twitter @ronrigney.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB – SF

It’s tough to predict where Trey Lance would be in his development at this point in the season. We can’t gather much info from his Week 1 performance since it was played in a typhoon. The ‘Niners may not know it, but the better man for the job may have lucked into their lineup. At first glance, his consistency is less than stellar, recording just one Clutch Game in four tries. I’d like to see him raise his completion % a bit, as it is hovering around the 60% mark. Despite that, he comes off his best effort of the season, with 253 yards and two scores against Carolina in Week 5. With games coming up against Atlanta and Kansas City in the next two weeks, I would expect Jimmy GQ to add to his Clutch Game total.
