Fantasy Football – Consistency Check-In – Week 3

Welcome to the Consistency Check-in! Each week Ron Rigney will highlight players at each position that either barely recorded a Clutch Game, or fell just short. Are they must adds, or must drops? Was it a fluke or is there consistency to be had? Come back here each week to find out!  Follow Ron on Twitter @ronrigney

Marcus Mariota, QB – ATL

Mariota came out of Week 2 with his first Clutch Game of 2022, posting 196 passing yards and 2 scores, along with two picks. Not perfect, but good enough against the defending Super Bowl champs. He’s likely available in most leagues, and his rushing ability makes me want to trust him in fantasy. He gets a Seahawks defense that has given up over 500 passing yards total in their first two games. Mariota has also developed chemistry with rookie wideout Drake London, targeting him 19 in the team’s first two games. I’m trusting him this week, but he may need to head back to the bench with some rough matchups in the coming weeks.
