Fantasy NFL Week 8 Start/Sits Advice & Football Strategy

Week 8 NFL Fantasy Start/Sits: QB
START – Jaxson Dart – NYG @ PHI
Dart has gone from a one-week consistency wonder to a consistency stud! He’s recorded four clutch games out of six tries for a 67% rating. He gets at Philly defense that he played well against in his debut, throwing for a touchdown and running for 58 yards and a score as well. He won’t be the QB1, but he should record a clutch performance.
SIT – Brock Purdy / Mac Jones – SF @ HOU
Houston’s defense has been solid in 2025. The offense, not so much. The Texans’ DEF is near the top in fantasy points allowed at almost every spot. It gives me little confidence in the ‘Niners passing game on the road. Mac Jones looks like he will start again this week, and the WR room is struggling to get on the field. They do have George Kittle back, and I expect him to be more involved and potentially be a decent start, but the offense should still run through Christian McCaffrey yet again this week.
Week 8 NFL Fantasy Start/Sits: RB
START – Breece Hall – NYJ @ CIN
It’s been a disastrous start for the Jets as they have yet to record a win. Hall has seen at least 15 touches in all but two games, and this week sets up nicely for a clutch game. He’s currently just 43% consistent, which hasn’t helped your squad, but Cincy is the most generous team in the league in allowing fantasy points to RBs. Week 8 should be another clutch game for Hall.
SIT – Jaylen Warren – PIT @ GB
Green Bay is the stingiest team in the league against fantasy RBs, and they’ve allowed a total of 126 yards to RBs over the past three weeks. Warren is coming off a clutch game against Cincy (127 rushing yards, 4 catches for 31), which proves my point for Breece Hall. I don’t see a lot of room for Warren here to post a clutch game.

Week 8 NFL Fantasy Start/Sits: WR
START – Marvin Mims Jr. – DEN vs. DAL
Mims was one of my favorite late-rounders heading into 2025, but the clutch performances just haven’t been there(3 for 7, 43%). He is coming off a clutch effort against the Giants, and sees a Cowboys team in Week 8 that has allowed points in bunches to fantasy WRs. This one figures to be high scoring, as most Cowboys games are. It should be a second consecutive clutch game for Mims.
SIT – Keon Coleman – BUF @ CAR
Week 1 looked as if the Keon Coleman breakout was here (8 catches, 112 yards, 1TD), but it’s all quiet since then. He’s only topped 26 yards once since then, and hasn’t seen consistent targets. It’s rumored the Bills are calling teams about bringing in WR help, so adding someone isn’t going to help him either. Carolina hasn’t been terrible against fantasy WR, but Josh Allen seems to be looking elsewhere for targets.
Week 8 NFL Fantasy Start/Sits: TE
START – Harold Fannin Jr. – CLE @ NE
Quick. Who’s the Browns’ leader in receptions and receiving yards? If you own Harold Fannin Jr., you know he’s the right answer. Of the three clutch games he’s recorded, two have come over the past three weeks. Dillon Gabriel seems to have a rapport with him, and the targets should continue to be there with him running the offense.
Sit – Zach Ertz – WAS @ KC
Marcus Mariota is back in the saddle, which is good if you need a QB2 during Byemaggeddon, but it’s not good for Ertz. In Mariota’s previous two starts, Ertz has just five grabs for 59 yards combined. It’s no coincidence his four clutch games have come with Jayden Daniels at the helm.
