Week 2 gave us a double header on Monday night, and we had an exciting Sunday! It’s on to Week 3 of the “Under the Radar with Consistency” series, and we’re eyeing some trends. Who’s Clutch and going unnoticed?
Some significant injuries leading into Week 3 of the NFL football season. We watched as Joe Burrow (Toe), Justin Fields (Concussion), and a few others went down this week. For football week 3, let’s find which players had Clutch Games this past week and need your attention moving forward.
For those who are new or need a refresher, here are a few key terms and definitions to help you during the season when reading.
- Clutch Factor (CF) – the average points a player needs to meet or exceed a Clutch Game based on scoring settings and league size. Think QB1, RB2, WR2, and TE1 thresholds.
- Clutch Games (CG) – weekly per-game award for a player who hits the CF factor. The more of these, the more consistent the player is.
- Clutch Rate (CR) – total of CG earned divided by total games; top fantasy players are usually > 70%.
- Football Consistency Report Tool (Scoring can be edited/Standard listed below)
- Based on 12-team leagues
- 4 points per passing touchdown
- 6 points for all other touchdowns
- 1 point per reception (PPR)
- 1 point per 20 passing yards
- 1 point per 10 rushing yards or 10 receiving yards

Fantasy Football Under the Radar (with consistency) – 9/16/2025
WR Wan’Dale Robinson, NYG Football Week 3.
Volume is king in fantasy football for RBs and WRs. Wan’Dale Robinson has been a target monster who keeps getting better year after year. He still gets disrespected for fantasy despite his growth and high-end target totals (73 in 2023 and 140 last year).
Robinson averaged 8+ targets last season and had multiple games with double-digit receptions. This year, he’s improved those numbers, averaging 9 targets a game through the first 2 weeks. Not only has he increased his targets slightly, but he’s also more than doubled his yards/target from 5 to 10.9.

(2025 Statistics: 100% CR, WR9: 19.9 PPG, 22% Rostered on Yahoo!)
What seems to be the obvious elephant in the room is the switch at QB from Daniel Jones to Russell Wilson. In contrast to Jones, Wilson has long been known to have one of the best deep balls in the league (“Moon Balls”). Robinson’s 142 yards in week 2 were double his season high last year, 71.
Despite only being rostered in 22% of leagues, Robinson has had back-to-back clutch weeks. Robinson is a capable WR3 in fantasy leagues, and now with the unlocked depth of target, he has an even higher ceiling (he was WR5 this past week in PPR).
WR Troy Franklin, DEN
This offseason, there was a lot of speculation about the Denver Broncos’ receiving room. During that time many believed that Evan Engram or Marvin Mims would ascend to the number 2 receiving option. Troy Franklin has had different plans, though, leading the team with 15 targets and 12 receptions through 2 weeks.
Last season as a rookie, Franklin struggled to find his footing. He finished the season with 53 targets and 28 receptions, despite having a strong bond with Bo Nix, his college teammate. This season, he appears to have taken on the WR2 role, and possibly even more. His 7.5 targets and 6 receptions per game easily pace the team.
(2025 Statistics: 50% CR, WR15: 16.2 PPG, 3% Rostered on Yahoo!)
Franklin only managed 1 Clutch Game last season, but he’s already matched that through 2 weeks. This past week, he scored 24 points and finished as WR7. Sean Payton and the Broncos have been looking for another WR to take some of the load off of Courtland Sutton, and Franklin’s big-play ability fits the bill.
If you’ve been paying attention, I’ve been on Franklin this offseason as a potential sleeper, and the time is here. Rostered in 3% of leagues, I expect him to be a hot pickup. Good luck with your bid or waivers.
QB Jake Browning, CIN
The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the best QBs in all of football, Joe Burrow. Despite being one of the best in the league, the issue with Burrow has been with his health. In addition, it appears that Burrow (toe) will miss extended time again this season. Enter Jake Browning, the QB who started in place of Burrow two years ago.
In 2023, Browning made 9 appearances and registered a Clutch Game in 5 of them (56%). This past week, Browning entered the game after Burrow got hurt and managed another Clutch Game, scoring 20.7 points in less than a full game (QB14 for the week).

(2025 Statistics: 100% CR, QB12: 20.7 PPG, 1% Rostered on Yahoo!)
Browning had 9 appearances in 2023, but that’s a little misleading. He appeared in 9 games, but only 7 of those were starts. In those 7 starts, he averaged 19.99 points per game, which would have been good enough to be QB8 last year.
I don’t want anyone to go crazy here and think I’m saying that Browning is nearly as good as Burrow, but the production doesn’t lie. In an upcoming week where we have Burrow, Brock Purdy, J.J. McCarthy, Jusin Fields, and Jayden Daniels all set to miss time, I would highly recommend targeting Browning.
WR Dyami Brown, JAX Football Week 3.
Often in the NFL, a team signs a player, and that player gets buried by other players. That’s what happened with Dyami Brown for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team lost several key receiving pieces and then actively pursued Brown to help fill out their receiving room, only to draft Travis Hunter, making Brown forgettable.
Brown has filled in admirably in Jacksonville, averaging 5.5 targets and 4 receptions per game. This past week, he was a WR2, scoring 12.6 points and finishing as the WR16 overall. Last season in Washington, Brown was used sparingly; however, in the playoffs, he had 14 receptions for 229 yards and a touchdown.
(2025 Statistics: 50% CR, T-WR23: 13.2 PPG, 1% Rostered on Yahoo!)
The Jaguars clearly liked what they saw with Brown in his time with Washington and have plans for the speedy receiver. He’s been utilized as a deep threat and also has 3 rushing attempts as well. That utilization has allowed him to clear 50+ yards in both games this year; he’s currently the team’s leading receiver.
Brown isn’t going to be a WR2 often, but he has a sneakily steady upside. If a WR you drafted is injured or perhaps underachieving, I would give Brown a long look as my WR3/FLEX. That 10ish point floor and consistency could be exactly what your team needs.
TE Harold Fannin Jr., CLE Football Week 3.
Last call, LAST CALL! If you haven’t jumped on the Harold Fannin Jr. hype train, I am not sure I can help you. He’s continuing to play all over the field for the Cleveland Browns, who are searching for an offensive identity.
He’s now been a top 12 TE in both weeks 1 and 2, on 14 targets and 12 receptions. He is 1st in receptions, 2nd in targets, and 2nd in receiving yards (111) for the Browns.
(2025 Statistics: 100% CR, TE9: 11.7 PPG, 43% Rostered on Yahoo!)
The Browns are currently passing a lot, with 93 pass attempts through 2 games. That may or may not last, but it’s clear that Fannin has shown to be a target earner. In college, he put up video game numbers: 117 receptions, 1,555 yards receiving, 65 yards rushing, and 11 touchdowns in his final season, proving the type of target earner he is.
Fannin profiles as a focal point for the Browns’ offense, and his former production shows he’s capable. Similarly, we’ve seen rookie TEs put up some good numbers, and this year will be no different, where I expect Fannin and fellow rookie Tyler Warren to continue racking up stats.
