For the last installment of QB tiebreakers, it’s a couple of QB2s that could easily finish as QB1 when 2025 is all said and done. In 2024, one was a disappointment while one was a pleasant late-round surprise. Both have offensive arsenals that have improved and should lift them up. But the real question is, who are we taking?

C.J. Stroud was a league winner in 2023 as a late-round QB who was available on waivers for the first few weeks of the season, and finished as a Top 10 QB. 2024 was a different story as he finished just 35% clutch and threw for 381 fewer yards and three fewer touchdowns than in 2023. Stroud’s INT% more than doubled to 2.3% as he threw 12 picks as opposed to 5 in his rookie campaign.
Drake Maye saw a rookie season in which he finished at 54% consistency while putting up solid but unspectacular numbers: 2276 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions with a 66.6%. His 421 yards rushing were third in the rookie QB class behind Caleb Williams and Bo Nix. Not bad for a guy who took over the starting job in Week 6.
