It’s week 14, the last week of the regular season in most leagues, and we have another big group of teams on bye. The Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, and Washington Commanders are all off this week and with them fantasy managers will be missing quite a bit of production in a crucial week. This week in the “Under the Radar” article I’ll point out some great players who’ve been consistently putting up fantasy points. QB Caleb Williams – CHI vs. @SF (Rostered 62%, Started 27% on Yahoo!)
By all means it’s been a pretty good year for rookie signal callers, we’ve seen Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, and now Caleb Williams putting up clutch games. Caleb has back to back weeks with a clutch game and now has a 42% CR (Clutch Ratio) for the year. His play has significantly picked up since the team changed their Offensive Coordinator, Thomas Brown is now the interim HC along with being named the play caller three weeks ago. During that time Williams has seen his play pick up, the last two weeks Williams is averaging 28.50 points per game versus 15.23 in his first ten games. To put into perspective how well Williams is doing the last few weeks all we need to do is take a look at the leading scorer at quarterback this year, Lamar Jackson, who’s averaging 27.64 points per game. Caleb comes into this week listed as the QB15 overall but with his recent play I would be surprised if he isn’t top 10 the rest of the way. The Bears have surrounded Williams with talent but it didn’t seem to be consistently working out until the coaching change was made. Since Brown has been the Offensive Coordinator we’ve seen Williams throw for 852 yards, 5 touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Not only is Caleb throwing with greater efficiency he’s also running the ball extremely well with 142 yards and a touchdown on the ground over the last three weeks. For those with Lamar Jackson, Bo Nix, C.J. Stroud, or other quarterbacks on bye this week it’s a good time to check your waivers for Caleb Williams. If he’s available then pick him up, and if you’ve already got him on your roster then fire him up with confidence this week!
